  • " I was made redundant during the Covid lockdown of 2020 without any consultation. I subsequently raised a personal grievance with the employer which was rejected out of hand. I then approached Kam Bailey who agreed to act as my advocate. Eventually the case went to MBIE facilitated mediation which was not successful, so application was made to the ERA who issued a favourable determination in May 2022. This was challenged by the employer who then took the matter to the employment court. Under Kam's guidance we opted for a Judicial settlement conference at which a settlement was reached.
